A client of ours in the automotive manufacturing industry located in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their team.  In this role, you won’t just be "selling tools"—you will be providing critical solutions to Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). You will spend your time on the factory floor and in corporate offices, identifying bottlenecks in production lines and demonstrating how your specialized tooling can increase uptime and efficiency. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package. 

salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the automotive supply chain (stamping, assembly, powertrain, and EV battery plants).
• Conduct "line walks" to observe manufacturing processes and recommend specific tooling solutions that improve safety and cycle times.
  
  
• Perform hands-on demonstrations of pneumatic, electric, and hand tools directly for maintenance managers and plant engineers.
  
  
• Maintain and expand long-term contracts with existing key accounts, acting as the primary liaison between the plant and the engineering team.
  
  
• Track leads, quotes, and project timelines using [Salesforce/HubSpot/Other CRM] to ensure accurate sales forecasting.
