Experience: 3+ Years in Technical Footwear Development
Portfolio Required: Must demonstrate technical execution and product iterations.
Role Overview Are you ready to shape the future of the court? We are seeking a high-energy Footwear Product Developer to join our Performance Basketball team for a high-visibility special project. This is a high-pressure environment where you will translate elite athlete feedback into tangible product improvements.
Focusing on "Footwear Moments" (All-Star, WNBA), you will revamp past models to create "newness" and fresh energy. You will work across all models, collaborating with designers to ensure a unified, innovative look for the most iconic silhouettes in the game.
Key Responsibilities
- Athlete-Driven Innovation: Translate real-time feedback from athletes into functional product enhancements, focusing on performance, fit, and technical execution.
- Revamp & Refresh: Lead technical development for special edition "moments," bringing new life to established models through material and construction updates.
- Unified Design Language: Partner with Designers to implement "fresh ideas" consistently across the entire basketball portfolio.
- Timeline Architecture: Create and manage aggressive product timelines from scratch to meet non-negotiable "Moment-driven" deadlines (e.g., specific game dates).
- Iterative Problem Solving: Analyze product failures or wear-test issues and implement rapid improvements to ensure elite performance standards are met.
- Manufacturing Advocacy: Act as the bridge between design intent and factory capabilities, advocating for design integrity while ensuring production feasibility.
- 3+ years of experience in technical product development specifically for footwear.
- Technical Portfolio: Must showcase the ability to turn creative concepts into high-performance physical products.
- Iterative Experience: Proven success managing product iterations, analyzing failures, and implementing improvements.
- Soft Skills: Calm under pressure, adaptable to ambiguity, and "courageous" in conversations regarding design feedback.
- Interest: A genuine passion for Basketball culture and performance.
