Are you comfortable managing high-priority, and sometimes "emergency" procurement needs? Randstad is currently seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist for an industrial fabrication facility in the Millington, TN area. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing specialized metals, including carbon and alloy steels, to meet rigorous ASME standards. You will act as the logistical heartbeat of the operation, managing material requisitions while maintaining vendor relationships to ensure cost-efficiency and timely deliveries. Responsibilities

• Identify and purchase raw materials per job requirements, with a heavy focus on carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steels, and industrial tubing.
  
  
• Manage immediate "same-day" material requisitions for the Field Services Shop to ensure zero downtime for field crews.
  
  
• Partner with suppliers to negotiate the best possible costs and delivery timeframes without compromising quality or ASME standards.
  
  
• Run and manage material status reports, keeping the Shop Foremen and Engineering Department updated on lead times and delivery schedules.
  
  
• Work closely with Sales and Inventory Management to align material arrivals with project timelines and stock levels.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience in manufacturing with metals (Carbon, Stainless, Alloys) and tubing is highly preferred.
  
  
• Excellent mathematical skills are required for quoting and material yield calculations.
  
  
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment where priorities change rapidly between two different shop locations.
  
  
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between suppliers and internal engineering teams.
  
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for report management.
