- Technical Skills: Proficient in CNC lathe programming, setup, and operation. strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Measurement: Expert in using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Blueprint Reading: Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
- Problem-Solving: troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of shop mathematics (trigonometry, geometry, algebra).

Responsibilities
- Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes, including selecting the appropriate tooling, workholding, and materials (e.g., metals, plastics, alloys) for each job.
- Programming: Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code to ensure efficient and accurate machining.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to verify conformance to blueprints and quality standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC lathes to maintain machine efficiency and minimize downtime.
