Role Summary: Randstad USA is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time, direct hire role in Waukegan, IL. This position focuses on preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and facilities support in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of solving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred
- strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime or on-call when needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable working around machinery, noise, temperature changes, and chemicals with PPE
- Pay: $35/+hr DOE

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment safety and performance
- Document maintenance work, parts used, and time spent in detailed records
- Install and help set up new machinery and production systems
- Respond to emergency repairs and support downtime recovery
- Ensure work meets all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to a proactive maintenance culture
- Perform other duties as assigned
