We are looking for a candidate with technical design abilities and a commitment to code compliance:
- An Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level II or higher) is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
- A solid understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire alarm codes.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with fire alarm system manufacturers (e.g., Mircom, Notifier, Siemens) is a plus.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and submittal preparation is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for the comprehensive design and documentation of fire alarm systems:
- Designing fire alarm systems using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
- Creating layout drawings, riser diagrams, and system wiring schematics.
- Selecting appropriate devices and equipment based on project specifications.
- Ensuring designs meet NFPA codes, local fire codes, and building codes.
- Preparing submittals, permit packages, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinating with sales, engineering, and project teams.
- Reviewing site surveys and integrating field conditions into designs.
- Communicating with AHJs and clients regarding design and code issues.
- Updating and maintaining project documentation throughout the design cycle.
