Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing a safe working environment for all production employees.
- Establishing and maintaining production policies and procedures that comply with company direction and philosophies.
- Guiding all manufacturing management in an effort to maintain consistency in application.
- Establishing and maintaining production department goals and objectives that comply with and satisfy overall company goals and objectives.
- Training, development and guidance of production management and staff.
- Responsible for insuring production departments meets established company objectives for production, efficiency, quality and costs.
- Establishing corrective action and/or improvements.
- Establishing departmental budgets and maintaining department operations within these established guidelines.
- Responsible for providing customer satisfaction and assistance as needed with production matters.
- Assist in scheduling matters in an effort to maintain highest production efficiencies while satisfying customer requirements.
- Interfaces with Quality Assurance on continuous improvement activities.
- Assists in the responsibility for maintaining the QS9000 compliant manufacturing procedures.
- Able to perform multiple job assignments efficiently.
- Familiar with SPC fundamentals.
- Experienced production planning skills.
- Five years minimum supervisory experience in manufacturing, including three years minimum in a manufacturing supervisory or administrative capacity.
