Responsibilities
WELDER "LEVEL I" RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to read and understand various measuring tools such as taper measure, calipers, or micrometers.
- Must use all safety PPE required for welding and without supervision.
- Must show that ability to accurately weld on an assortment of materials as prescribed by the work schedule, including but not limited to STAINLESS STEEL, GALVANIZED, HOT ROLL STEEL, COLD ROLL STEEL, ETC.
- Must be able to read an understand blueprints/work orders, to ensure proper components are being used in the product
- Must be able to acquire a general understanding of quality expectations and standards
- Must keep work area clean and orderly
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Cannot have 4 or more points on attendance record
- Must have a positive attitude everyday as defined by leadership and peers
- Must meet all qualifications of a WELDER (LEVEL I)
- Must be ale to work independently without the direction of others while producing quality work without defect
- Must have a full understanding of the manufacturing process in regard to the following:
- How products travel through the plant
- Why they travel in the order that they do
- How the welder position affects the process down stream
- Must be able to train ENTRY LEVEL WELDERS (LEVEL I) as needed
