We are seeking an organized and adaptable individual with relevant technical skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a three-year formal training program, or five or more years equivalent work experience in machine equipment maintenance.
- Machine repair certificates and licenses are preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with mechanical, industrial, and basic electrical tasks, including inputs, outputs, electrical motor wiring, and overloads/starters.
- Ability to use hand tools and trades-type tools.
- Welding/fabrication experience is essential.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent follow-through skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Good to excellent language skills, both written and oral, including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, technical manuals, government standards, and procedure manuals.
- Work is performed in a production warehouse setting.
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and/or cold, dust (cement), and noise.
- Requires the ability to routinely move, lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing from 50 to 80 pounds and occasionally up to 94 pounds.
- Requires bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, and lifting.
- Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations.
- Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work from elevated heights using ladders, mezzanines, and aerial lifts.
- High mental and visual effort is required.
- Ability to stand for most of the shift.

- Willingness to work rotating shifts on a continuous, seven-day cycle.

Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for a range of essential maintenance duties:
- Performing regular examinations and preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, including oiling and greasing, to minimize breakdowns. Making necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Reviewing production schedules and performing scheduled maintenance or repairs when equipment is not in use for manufacturing.
- Performing preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reporting findings to supervisors, and taking appropriate action.
- Testing equipment after repairs, ensuring proper operation before returning it to production.
- Performing weekly checks of safety stock, verifying critical parts and components are on-site to reduce repair downtime.
- Directing line operators, packers, and service personnel (like lift truck operators) on daily PM schedules, standard operating procedures, and requirements.
- Operating equipment during relief periods.
- Notifying the maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken, as well as quality problems or needed supplies.
- Performing on-call repair duties at times for other production shifts.
- Following all L.O.T.O procedures and all company safety programs and OSHA guidelines.
