Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues: Identify the root cause of malfunctions in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic systems, and other components using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and personal experience.
  
  
• Perform routine maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, lubrication, and tune-ups to ensure optimal performance and longevity of diesel equipment.
  
  
• Repair and replace components: Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components, transmissions, differentials, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other parts as needed. This often involves using specialized tools and equipment.
  
  
• Conduct inspections and complete thorough documentation: Perform detailed inspections of diesel vehicles and equipment to identify potential problems, and accurately record all repairs, maintenance, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
  
  
• Test and adjust systems: After repairs, test drive vehicles or operate equipment to ensure proper functionality and make any necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
