Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of painters and prep workers across multiple shifts.
- Manage scheduling, delegation of tasks, and ensure production goals are met.
- Monitor surface preparation, primer application, paint finish, and curing processes.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of paint booths, equipment, and PPE.
- Conduct quality checks to maintain high standards and prevent rework.
- Train team members on proper painting techniques and safety protocols.
- Order and manage inventory of paints, solvents, and related materials.
- Collaborate with Production and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve paint-related issues.
- Enforce company policies and OSHA safety standards in the paint area.
- 3+ years of industrial painting experience, preferably in trailer or automotive manufacturing.
- 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience.
- knowledge of paint types, mixing, and application processes (spray gun, powder coating a plus).
- Familiar with ventilation systems, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
- a plus (English/Spanish).
