Role Summary: Randstad USA is hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians (Levels 2–3) for a direct hire opportunity in Libertyville, IL. These roles support manufacturing operations by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems. Ideal for technicians with 3–5+ years of experience who are comfortable working with schematics, basic welding, and production machinery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Technical training or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficient in reading schematics, diagrams, and prints
- Solid troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic welding and fabrication knowledge preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties (climb, kneel, stand)
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with LOTO, PPE, and safety protocols
- Forklift certification and ISO 9001:2015 knowledge a plus

Responsibilities
- Level 2:
- Perform Level 1 tasks (basic PMs, equipment checks, minor repairs)
- 2+ years technical training and 3+ years of maintenance experience
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines
- Assist senior technicians and collaborate with OEM service providers
- Support emergency procedures during equipment or power failures
- Basic welding and fabrication skills
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely
- Level 3 (includes all Level 2 duties plus):
- 5+ years experience with mechanical and electrical repair in industrial settings
- Identify and resolve mechanical/electrical failures using schematics
- Make improvement suggestions for equipment design
- Assist with writing PM procedures and updating documentation
- Support engineering teams during equipment trials or upgrades
- Work independently and provide guidance to junior technicians
