Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the cutting of parts & tooling for use in the creation of plastic thermoform molds/tools and fixtures.
* Contact with product designers, engineers, quality, and plant manager to maximize the overall efficiency in the prototype and production tool manufacturing processes.
* This position is the leader for the CNC processes in manufacturing.
* Utilize design drawings, models, verbal and written instruction to develop tool designs, specifications and CNC programs.
* Initiate and follow through with Engineering or Plant Manager to manage the complete tool manufacturing process including rework, repair and design change management.
* Manage the coordination of materials needed to complete the machining process for all molds and fixtures.
* Promote and maintain adherence to the plant safety program.
* Monitor the quality and manufacturing issues related to tooling and utilize this data to recommend improvements in future designs.
* Promote the quality management system with assistance of the Quality manager.
