Responsibilities
• Create and edit CNC programs using Mastercam for vertical and/or horizontal milling and turning centers.
• Develop efficient tool paths and optimize machining strategies to reduce cycle time and ensure part quality.
• Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications to define machining operations.
• Select appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and fixtures based on material and geometry.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
• Perform dry runs and prove-outs of new programs on the shop floor when needed.
• Maintain an organized library of programs, setup sheets, and documentation.
• Continuously improve existing programs and processes for cost, time, and quality optimization.
The essential functions of this role include:
- working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
