Responsibilities
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental rules.
- Working safely is a condition of employment.
- Utilize equipment Lock Out – Tag Out (LOTO), in support of maintenance.
- Operate equipment with manual and automated production processes.
- Willingness to get forklift operator certified.
- Keep equipment running by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
- Assist mechanics, utilizing hand tools, when required, to keep equipment operational.
- Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
- Strive to keep raw material and product waste to a minimum.
- Inspect finished products.
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential requirement. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to work overtime as required, willingness to work different shifts, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
