Responsibilities
Receiving:
- Inspecting Shipments: Unloads and inspects all incoming goods for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders.
- Documentation: Verifies and signs for deliveries, processes paperwork, and enters received inventory into a tracking system.
- Organization: Labels and stores products in the correct warehouse locations, ensuring they're easily accessible.
- Packing and Labeling: Pulls products from stock, packs them securely, and applies appropriate shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinating Shipments: Schedules pickups with various freight carriers and prepares a manifest of all outgoing shipments.
- Quality Control: Performs a final check to ensure all orders are accurate and packed to company standards before they leave the facility.
General Duties
- Inventory Management: Regularly updates inventory records and reports any stock discrepancies.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operates forklifts or other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Communication: Communicates with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any issues with shipments.
- Safety and Maintenance: Adheres to all safety protocols and maintains a clean, organized work area.
