Responsibilities
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
I. Proficient in mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication & division to include calculations using fractions & metrics.
II. Measurement: ability to read & use measurement tools
A. Ruler
B. Micrometer
C. Levels
D. Caliper
E. Dial indicator
III. Manual dexterity: ability to perform lifting, bending, climbing, stretching movements while handling material & machine parts.
IV. Reading Proficiency.
V. Three to five years’ experience in equipment maintenance.
VI. Experience in the disciplines of:
A. basic machine fabrication skills
B. blueprint reading
C. plumbing
D. carpentry
E. operation of shop equipment (lathe, mill, arc welder, acetylene torch)
F. three-phase power and electrical systems
G. hydraulics
H. HVAC
I. Service power transmission components
J. Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows software.
VII. Capable of analyzing mechanical/electrical problems and proceeding in a logical manner to solve specific problems.
VIII. Experience and degreed education in a Maintenance Specialty such as Electrical/Electronics, Machine Fabrication, Welding,
