As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you'll be the primary advocate for quality and food safety within the plant. You will ensure compliance with all specifications for incoming materials, in-process conditions, and finished products. This is a hands-on role that requires you to be on-site for pre-op checks at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-op QA checks and metal detector verifications.
- Serve as the secondary contact for all quality, food safety, and regulatory issues.
- Assist in developing and delivering training to staff on quality and food safety protocols.
- Support documentation control and management using quality software systems.
- Utilize customer and consumer complaint data to identify root causes and implement process improvements.
- Manage environmental monitoring, including swabbing techniques, analysis, and results review.
- Ensure compliance with Kosher and Organic product requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in mock recalls, business continuity, and food defense procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience.
- PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) and/or HACCP certified.
- GFSI experience is required, with a preference for SQFI.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities
