In this role, you will be the backbone of our operations, ensuring all of our tools, machinery, and equipment are in top condition. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of maintenance—from installation and adjustment to repair and troubleshooting.
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and Repair: Use your expertise to test, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of machinery, including production equipment and heavy trucks. You'll replace faulty parts, electrical components, motors, and circuit boards.
- Hands-On Work: Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welding and cutting torches, to perform repairs, change parts, and complete tasks.
- Install and Maintain: Install new equipment and electrical components, ensuring they function properly. You’ll also perform routine maintenance like lubricating and cleaning parts.
- Team Collaboration: Work with fellow mechanics to discuss repairs and ensure our equipment is always in excellent working order.
- General Upkeep: Keep your work area clean and organized while performing general repairs on plant structures as needed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent training/experience.
- Certification from a technical or vocational school is a plus, but comparable experience is also valued.
- A good mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Skills in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Experience in hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, or carpentry is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 80 lbs (with assistance available if needed) and work in various conditions, including hot, cold, dusty, and noisy environments.

Responsibilities
- Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special purpose machines as assigned
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned
- Weld and use cutting torch as required
- Perform general repairs to plant structures
- Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and discuss with fellow mechanics for approval and repair as needed
- Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards as needed
- Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
- Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
- Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
