Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Food Manufacturing Line Operator/Packer is an integral part of our production team, responsible for operating and monitoring equipment on the food production line and ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of our products. This role requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line Operation:
- Safely and efficiently operate and monitor various machines on the production line, including mixers, fillers, sealers, labelers, and conveyors.
- Set up and adjust machine settings for different products or packaging sizes to ensure proper operation.
- Monitor the production line to prevent jams, blockages, and other issues, and perform basic troubleshooting to address minor malfunctions.
- Report any major equipment issues or breakdowns to the maintenance team or supervisor immediately.
- Safely and efficiently operate and monitor various machines on the production line, including mixers, fillers, sealers, labelers, and conveyors.
- Packaging and Quality Control:
- Accurately pack food products into containers, bags, or boxes as they move down the assembly line.
- Verify product quality by performing visual inspections for defects, damages, or foreign objects.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled, weighed, and sealed according to company and regulatory standards.
- Remove and discard any defective products or materials from the line.
- Assist with inventory checks of packaging materials, alerting the supervisor when supplies are low.
- Accurately pack food products into containers, bags, or boxes as they move down the assembly line.
