Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in industrial machinery, including motors, control systems, and power distribution equipment.
- Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance and repair on electrical systems and components to minimize downtime.
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for diagnostics, programming, and system maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to perform installations and repairs.
- Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to report on job progress and technical issues.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrical technician.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits and high-voltage equipment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform job duties.
