Responsibilities

• Perform soldering, de-soldering, and rework on various electronic components and assemblies, including both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, with a focus on both SMT and through-hole layouts.
• Inspect soldered joints for defects, including those on fine-pitch SMT components and robust through-hole connections, ensuring quality standards are met for both.
• Use various soldering tools and equipment, including soldering irons, hot air guns, reflow ovens (for SMT), and microscopes, adapting techniques for different component types.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, paying attention to the specific needs of handling small SMT components and preparing through-hole leads.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including those relevant to the use of specialized SMT and through-hole equipment and materials.
• Troubleshoot and identify issues with soldered components, understanding common defects in both SMT and through-hole soldering.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records, including details of SMT and through-hole rework and inspections.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production, coordinating soldering tasks for assemblies containing both SMT and through-hole components.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on optimizing SMT and through-hole soldering processes and techniques.
