Responsibilities
- Prioritizes, assigns, and follows up on daily work orders, balancing emergency calls with planned preventive maintenance.
- Leads shift huddles, communicates equipment status, and develops downtime recovery plans.
- Coaches, trains, and evaluates technicians, providing input on hiring, scheduling, and performance.
- Ensures accurate use of CMMS for work orders, labor time, parts, and failure codes.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including emergency repairs and maintenance on 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Inspects and tests machinery, reads and interprets manuals and schematics, and listens for unusual sounds to diagnose problems.
- Dismantles and repairs defective machines, and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and components, and maintains pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Repairs and maintains manufacturing equipment, plant facilities, and physical structures.
- Works with vendors on equipment and parts, including estimates and quotes.
- Moves machinery, pre-plans layouts, and ensures cleanliness of work areas.
- Installs and repairs automated machinery, such as robots.
- Operates machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill) to fabricate parts and tools.
- Maintains on-call rotation and trains operators on preventative maintenance.
- Must be US Citizen or permanent resident.
