We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join the team of a client of ours in Worcester, MA! The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, along with a solid understanding of root cause analysis (RCA) and rubber or plastic injection molding machinery. Supervisory experience is preferred, as this role may involve leading small teams or mentoring junior technicians. This role will require several soft skills to go along with the necessary technical competencies. Independence, dependability and trustworthiness are all valued because of the level of autonomy and the importance of the work being performed. You will be relied on to make good decisions and to work efficiently when installing or repairing equipment. Attention to detail is important, as well as commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, sensors, and wiring.
•  Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent).
• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform mechanical work on injection molding machines, including calibration, preventive maintenance, and complete tear-downs/rebuilds.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and eliminate the cause of failures.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
• Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are followed during maintenance and repair work.
• Provide training or guidance to junior mechanics and maintenance staff as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to equipment uptime and maintenance practices.
• Verify technical manuals, schematics, and other information for new equipment to ensure requirements are met.
• Assist in development of training tools, practical training evaluation, creating maintenance related work instructions and procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
