A company in Suffolk County, NY is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to ensure all products and components meet their high-quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting both mechanical and electrical parts throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to final assembly. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of quality control procedures, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity.

salary: $52,000 - $62,400 per year

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with technical drawings, blueprints, and quality standards.
  
  
• Perform mechanical inspections using a variety of tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  
  
• Execute electrical inspections and tests, including continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and functional testing of circuits and wiring using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized test equipment.
  
  
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and products, accurately recording defects and communicating findings to production and engineering teams.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  
  
• Maintain a comprehensive record of all inspections, test results, and quality data.
  
  
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
