We're searching for a skilled and well-tenured Maintenance Technician to join our outstanding team for a direct-hire, long-term opportunity! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience monitoring production schedules and safely repairing and maintaining all plant equipment and facilities. You'll be responsible for routine electrical troubleshooting (VFD & PLCs), training new team members, and accurately documenting all maintenance activities. We are seeking someone who can communicate effectively with supervisory staff, participate in team and safety meetings, and help maintain our excellent company culture. salary: $62,500 - $83,200 per year

Responsibilities

• Monitors the production schedule and safely performs various extrusion tooling change requests to include head changes, sizing sleeves, tank gaskets, saw jaws and belling tools.
• Communicates with the Supervisory staff concerning extrusion-tooling changes to execute the production schedule.
• Safely repairs and maintains all plant equipment as well as maintenance of the building and grounds as required.
• Monitors line equipment and reports observed significant safety and/or maintenance requirements at team meetings.
• Safely performs routine electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.(VFD & PLC’s)
• Trains team members & production associates on specific job functions relating to assigned areas.
• Recommends the most cost-effective approach for completing assigned repairs.
• Establishes and maintains a basic understanding of programmable logic controllers.
• Maintains familiarity with the maintenance & safety requirements for all plant equipment and machinery, and areas of assigned responsibility.
• Accurately documents all maintenance activities and operations in accordance with Company policies and quality standards.
• Monitors and maintains equipment safety precautions and makes recommendations related to safety issues.



The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
