Responsibilities
- Process Shipments: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and packaged to prevent damage.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager to process shipments, print labels, generate manifests, and track packages.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and international customs forms.
- Forklift Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift (and other material handling equipment like pallet jacks) to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and stage outbound shipments.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods, and report any discrepancies.
- Receiving: Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and distribute items to the appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Communication: Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments (sales, customer service, and production) to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
