We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our [e.g., manufacturing, engineering, or production] team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components, assemblies, and finished products meet the highest quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role is critical to our commitment to excellence and requires a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of precision measurement and inspection techniques.

salary: $24 - $30 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform Inspections: Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies using a variety of precision measuring instruments and tools.
  
  
• Utilize Measurement Tools: Use and be proficient with a wide range of inspection equipment, including but not limited to:
  
  
  • Calipers
    
    
  • Micrometers
    
    
  • Height gauges
    
    
  • Optical comparators
    
    
  • Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
    
    
• Interpret Technical Documents: Read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications to verify product conformity.
  
  
• Document Findings: Meticulously document all inspection results, including any non-conformance issues, and generate detailed inspection reports.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to identify the root cause of quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  
  
• Maintain Compliance: Ensure all inspection processes and documentation comply with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.
  
  
• Support Quality Audits: Assist with internal and external quality audits by providing accurate documentation and demonstrating adherence to quality control procedures.
