Responsibilities
- Perform Inspections: Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies using a variety of precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Utilize Measurement Tools: Use and be proficient with a wide range of inspection equipment, including but not limited to:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gauges
- Optical comparators
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Calipers
- Interpret Technical Documents: Read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications to verify product conformity.
- Document Findings: Meticulously document all inspection results, including any non-conformance issues, and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to identify the root cause of quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure all inspection processes and documentation comply with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Support Quality Audits: Assist with internal and external quality audits by providing accurate documentation and demonstrating adherence to quality control procedures.
