The Industrial Flooring Estimator is responsible for preparing and coordinating accurate estimates on concrete flooring projects, including polished concrete, epoxy, urethane coatings, and other industrial flooring systems. In addition, the Estimator will assist in the preparation of the proposal package, which includes but is not limited to quantity surveys, pricing, alternates, and/or clarifications. As a key role in our organization, the Estimator is expected to build effective relationships with team members, external customers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of experience in estimating (preferably in industrial flooring, coatings, or related trades)
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Proficient with Onscreen Takeoff (or similar digital estimating software)
- Ability to read construction blueprints & specifications
- Efficient in time management to meet multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of flooring-specific systems, concrete preparation, and coatings preferred

Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of industrial flooring systems, including product data sheets, manufacturer installation guidelines, and substrate preparation requirements
- Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope (e.g., concrete prep, polishing, epoxy, coatings, and joint treatments)
- Prepare detailed estimates based on construction drawings and specifications
- Analyze contract documents (plans, specifications, etc.) to determine any required scope
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals relative to their scope of work and determine if scope is covered
- Calculate the job cost based on information gathered during the bid process
- Manage multiple preconstruction projects simultaneously
- Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Build effective relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Maintain detailed knowledge of pricing and costs for materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment related to industrial flooring systems
- Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate
