Role Summary: Randstad USA is hiring Tooling Technicians for a direct hire opportunity in Hanover Park, IL. This role focuses on repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molds used in high-volume plastic production. Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience repairing plastic injection molds
- Skilled in using manual mold shop equipment and tools
- strong troubleshooting and mechanical abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Must work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
- Pay: $27–$35/hr DOE

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of plastic injection molds
- Use manual machines and tooling equipment to perform corrective actions
- Diagnose tooling issues, test molds, and track root causes
- Maintain and track mold/component inventory levels and status
- Store validated and non-validated tooling components appropriately
- Document mold issues, repair solutions, and PM history to reduce downtime
- Escalate recurring tooling failures through the proper channels
- Follow all SOPs, safety standards, and quality procedures
- Keep mold shop and machines clean and organized
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure tooling readiness
- Other duties as assigned
