Responsibilities
System Fabrication and Assembly:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, components, and complete power units according to engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Perform precision work, including the welding and fitting of metal tubes and piping for high-pressure systems.
- Build and assemble hosing and tubing assemblies, ensuring proper routing, pressure ratings, and use of appropriate couplings and fittings to prevent leaks.
- Machine custom parts and modify existing components using shop equipment, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various system components, including valves, pumps, hydraulic motors, and pneumatic actuators.
- Diagnose and service industrial power components, including single and 3-phase motors.
- Work with industrial cooling systems, including the installation and maintenance of coolers and heat exchangers used in hydraulic power units.
- Apply general mechanical knowledge to integrate hydraulic/pneumatic systems with larger industrial machinery.
- Test assembled components and systems to ensure they meet required pressure, flow, and quality standards before deployment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, strictly adhering to all safety protocols for welding, fabricating, and fluid power testing.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation related to build sheets, testing reports, and materials used.
