Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle (straight truck) with a CDL B license, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Accurately and efficiently deliver food products to various customer locations (restaurants, schools, etc.) on a designated route.
- Load and unload the truck, often using a hand truck or pallet jack, and ensuring product integrity throughout the process. This is a physically demanding role.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling invoices, and collecting payments as required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate any delivery or route issues to the dispatcher.
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies at all times
