Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management: Negotiate optimal pricing & terms, & manage key supplier relationships, including strategic accounts & those with significant activities.
- End-to-End Procurement: Execute the complete procurement cycle, from RFQ issuance & proposal analysis to purchase order management & ensuring timely material receipt.
- Cost Optimization & Quality Assurance: Procure materials, components, equipment, & services at the lowest total cost while upholding quality, reliability, & urgency requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and Supply Chain Management to identify new suppliers & resolve material-related accounting & receiving issues.
- Inventory & Production Planning: Maintain planned inventory levels, conduct E&Z analysis to minimize excess, & manage complex manufacturing schedules considering business demands.
- Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure global compliance with Engineering Change Orders, develop business simplification methods for procurement, & assist with ISO document development.
- Technical & Analytical Support: Interpret engineering drawings, leverage material knowledge for effective communication with suppliers and engineers, and provide feedback for cost reduction initiatives.
- Logistics & R&D Integration: Act as the primary contact for Product Support and R&D teams, plan and manage field support activities, and serve as the central point for logistics inquiries and eSR creation.
