Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities Summary
- Quality Control: Perform visual and dimensional inspections on products (pipe/tubing) as they exit the machine or at designated checkpoints.
- Measurement: Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures) to verify critical dimensions (Outer Diameter, Wall Thickness, Length) against strict tolerances and blueprints.
- Defect Identification: Inspect for common defects, including weld imperfections, surface finish issues, ovality, or physical damage.
- Material Handling: Offload, stack, band, and stage finished pipe and tubing from the machine to storage areas or for secondary processing
- Reporting: Document and report all quality issues and defects immediately to the Machine Operator and/or Supervisor.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free machine work area.
