Responsibilities
General Recommendations
Must have mechanical ability and own tools including basic refrigeration tools: high
pressure 404a gauges.
Minimum one year of dedicated experience working/diagnosing Carrier/Thermo King
Transport Refrigeration Systems and solid understanding of the refrigeration industry
in general.
Solid understanding of electrical principles including the relationship between
voltage, amperage and resistance; and the ability perform basic test on electrical
circuits with a voltmeter.
Conduct diagnostic procedures on transport refrigeration equipment and perform
necessary repairs with limited supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
strong diagnostic aptitude and critical thinking skills.
Ability to meet requirements for certifications.
Able to drive service van and climb on trucks/ladders; able to work in adverse
weather conditions as needed.
Able to perform PM services in a timely manner.
Additional Preferred Recommendations:
2 Years of diagnostic experience on Thermo King/Carrier units.
Expertise and skill in refrigeration truck/trailer service and repair as well as general
maintenance.
Dealer Certified and/or Professional endorsements.
EPA 608/609 Certifications.
Able to work independently and solve complicated problems using dealer provided
diagnostic manuals and wiring diagrams.
Able to solder and repair high pressure refrigerated systems.
