What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating the pecker machine to ensure continuous product output.
- Heavy Lifting: Frequently handling and pouring 80 lb bags of material (must be comfortable lifting 50-80 lbs).
- Utilizing your experience with a sit-down forklift to move and stage materials safely.
- Performing essential machine cleaning and maintenance.
- Completing quality checks on finished bags and pre-shift forklift inspections.
- This is a Temporary-to-Hire position with the potential for long-term career growth.
- Work is inside, but in a non-climate controlled facility—it will be hot when it's hot outside and cold when it's cold outside. You must be prepared for this environment, which also involves dirt, dust, and gravel.
- No prior machine operator experience is required; we train!
- Required PPE: You must provide your own steel-toe boots. Safety glasses and a hard hat will be provided.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Primary operation of the pecker machine to ensure continuous and efficient production.
- Material Handling: Physically handle and pour out materials, including frequently lifting and maneuvering 80 lb bags of material.
- Forklift Operation: Safely and proficiently operate a sit-down forklift for material movement and staging.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of the pecker machine and surrounding work area.
- Quality Control: Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and perform visual checks on finished material bags to ensure quality standards are met.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Teamwork: Accept and follow directions effectively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to address operational issues as they arise.
