Responsibilities
- Lead the QA function for label issuance, control, and verification. Ensure all in-process and finished product labels comply with approved batch records, regulatory filings (e.g., FDA/cGMP), and company SOPs, minimizing the risk of mislabeling.
- Perform timely, on-the-floor QA review and approval of executed batch records, focusing specifically on packaging, labeling, and other critical production steps to support timely product disposition.
- Approve all line clearances and set-ups for labeling and packaging areas.
- Drive the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) lifecycle for complex manufacturing and labeling-related issues. This includes leading root cause analysis (RCA) investigations (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram) and ensuring effective corrective actions are identified and implemented.
- Act as the Quality Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the overnight shift to triage deviations and non-conformances, ensuring all quality events are accurately documented and reported promptly.
- Track, trend, and report key Quality System metrics related to Deviations, CAPAs, and labeling errors to QA Management, highlighting potential systemic issues.
- Oversee and perform verification of effectiveness (VoE) checks for completed CAPAs to ensure sustained improvement and compliance.
