Responsibilities
Responsible for the movement, storage, and handling of materials within a facility, such as a warehouse or construction site.
Core Operating and Material Handling
- Operate Forklift: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift (and potentially other powered industrial trucks like pallet jacks or reach trucks) to move materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from incoming and outgoing trucks, trailers, and rail cars.
- Transport and Placement: Transport materials to and from production areas, storage bays, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Stacking and Organizing: Move, stack, and stage products and materials in the correct locations, ensuring loads are secure and arranged to optimize storage space.
- Order Fulfillment: Locate and retrieve (pick) stock/products for outgoing orders and prepare them for shipment (e.g., wrapping, palletizing).
