The Opportunity: As the 2nd Shift Production Manager, you will be responsible for all evening operations, driving the team to achieve production targets and maintain our organization's high-quality standards. What You Bring:

• Proven experience (3+ years preferred) in a production or manufacturing leadership role, ideally in medium-to-heavy metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

The Production Manager responsibilities at Western Pacific Storage Solutions (WPSS) center on overseeing the manufacturing of industrial shelving and material handling products, with a strong emphasis on quality and Lean manufacturing principles.

Core duties typically include:

• Production Planning & Execution:
  
  
  • Overseeing the entire manufacturing process and managing the production team.
    
    
  • Developing and implementing production schedules to meet deadlines and targets (quality and quantity).
    
    
  • Organizing the workflow and monitoring performance to resolve issues promptly.
    
    
• Quality & Efficiency:
  
  
  • Enforcing the company's "Gold Standard Quality Assurance Program."
    
    
  • Implementing and driving Lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement, waste elimination, and optimized productivity.
    
    
• Resource Management:
  
  
  • Managing the production budget, estimating costs, and determining resource requirements (workforce, materials).
    
    
  • Overseeing the purchasing of materials and the maintenance of equipment.
    
    
• Leadership & Safety:
  
  
  • Supervising and evaluating production staff, including providing training and mentorship.
    
    
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all health and safety regulations (OSHA, etc.).
    
    
• Coordination:
  
  
  • Liaising with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality control, supply chain, and traffic managers) to ensure smooth operations from production to customer delivery.
