Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily production activities across multiple injection molding machines.
- Supervise production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Monitor production schedules, machine efficiency, and labor utilization to meet output goals.
- Support process optimization initiatives to reduce downtime, scrap, and cycle times.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve equipment or process issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
- Track and report key production metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
- Assist with workforce scheduling, job assignments, and resource allocation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Act as a backup for the Production Manager in their absence.
- 3+ years of experience in plastic manufacturing, with knowledge of injection molding processes.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a production environment.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in production management systems, ERP/MRP, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
