The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all production equipment, facility systems, and general building maintenance at our Brooklyn location. The ideal candidate has a great mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a fast-paced snack/food environment.

salary: $52,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PMs) on production equipment (e.g., ovens, fryers, mixers, packaging machinery, display cases) and facility systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, minor electrical).
  
  
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on equipment and perform necessary repairs quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  
  
• Facility Upkeep: Conduct general maintenance and light repairs of the building structure, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
  
  
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations (OSHA), health codes, and company standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  
  
• Inventory: Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and supplies, placing orders as needed.
  
  
• Collaboration: Work effectively with the production and management teams to schedule maintenance and respond to urgent maintenance requests.
