Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items.
- Follow recipes and accurately measure and mix ingredients to ensure consistency and quality.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
- Decorate, finish, and portion baked items.
- Ensure timely production of bakery items for display and customer orders.
- Monitor the quality of raw ingredients and finished products, conducting quality checks during baking and adjusting processes as necessary.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and properly storing ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
- Assist customers with questions and special requests, provide samples, and offer product recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill large or special orders.
- Track ingredient inventory levels and report shortages or issues.
- Develop new recipes and products.
- Train and supervise assistant bakers and other bakery staff
