- Rapid Material Movement: Quickly and safely transport materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from various staging areas, production lines, and storage racks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (certification required or provided).
- Line Stocking and Retrieval: Execute swift material runs to keep assembly, kitting, or packaging stations continuously supplied with necessary components to prevent line downtime.
- Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing freight, verifying item counts against bills of lading or packing slips, and ensuring materials are stored in designated locations.
- Organization and Flow: Maintain excellent organization and cleanliness in all material storage areas and traffic lanes, ensuring immediate accessibility for all inventory.
- Safety Compliance: Operate all material handling equipment in a safe manner, strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and traffic control procedures.
- Inventory Support: Assist with inventory cycle counts, relocation of inventory, and reporting any material discrepancies or damage immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications Required:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high pace and productivity level consistently throughout the shift.
- Physical agility and stamina: Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift.
- Excellent spatial awareness and a commitment to safe material handling practices.
- Basic proficiency with electronic scanning devices and inventory tracking.
Preferred:
- Current Forklift Operator Certification (or ability to pass certification immediately upon hire).
- Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory principles.
