Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Wheel Technician
Durham, NC
Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
$28 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Wheel Technician to join our team in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with heavy-duty trucks and equipment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections.
• Keep detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with the service team to maintain productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment experience required.
• CDL-A license preferred, but not required.
• Refrigeration / HVAC experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
• strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs efficiently.
