- Three or more years of directly related experience as an assembly technician.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other mechanical inspection equipment.
- Problem Solving skills to identify and resolve issues and develop solutions.
- Excellent Self-Management (prioritizing, planning, and sound judgment).

Responsibilities
- Mechanical Assembly: Position and assemble complex mechanical parts and assemblies using blueprints, schematics, and standard procedures. Use various fasteners and hand tools (bolts, screws, speed clips) for assembly.
- Setup & Calibration: Facilitate equipment setup by applying water, air, and electrical power, and leveling machinery in temporary installations. Perform complex mechanical alignments and calibration of assemblies to written or verbal quality standards.
- Testing & Debugging: Assist in mechanical/electrical testing and debugging, including electrical, mechanical, and vacuum systems, to support power-up and machine testing. Gather and record test data and documentation as required.
- Part Modification: Operate pneumatic and electric hand tools and machinery to grind, polish, cut, drill, and modify parts.
- Quality & Mentorship: Inspect the work of Assembly Technician I. Write and improve procedures for other technicians. May provide guidance to other technicians.Improvement: Thoughtfully and competently recommend and document design and process improvements to supervisors, engineering, and other departments.Shipment Prep: Help prepare machines for shipment, including cleaning, breakdown of utilities, and preparation of miscellaneous items
- Safety & Environment: Maintain and promote a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
