Responsibilities



A MIG welder uses a continuous, solid wire electrode that is fed through a welding gun to create an electric arc that melts and fuses metal parts together. As the wire feeds, a shielding gas flows through the gun's nozzle to protect the weld from atmospheric contamination, resulting in a clean, strong joint with little to no slag. The process is known for being fast, efficient, and relatively easy to learn compared to other welding methods, making it popular for both production and repair work in many industries.  



The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
