Responsibilities
The Printer Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of digital printing equipment to produce a variety of high-quality printed materials.
- Operation: Operate and monitor digital printing equipment, including flatbed and/or UV printers, to ensure the final product meets all specifications and quality standards.
- Setup: Perform routine machine setups, including loading and unloading materials, selecting proper print settings (color profiles, resolution, etc.), and adjusting registration.
- Quality Control: Conduct pre-press checks, monitor print jobs for color accuracy, consistency, and defects, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
- Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance, including cleaning print heads, calibrating equipment, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Material Handling: Manage and inventory printing supplies, substrates, and inks, ensuring materials are staged correctly for upcoming jobs.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to all company safety policies.
- Documentation: Accurately complete production logs, job tickets, and quality assurance paperwork.
