Responsibilities
- Lead Food Safety Systems: Design, implement, and maintain all Quality Management Systems (QMS), including HACCP, GFSI schemes (e.g., SQF, BRC), GMPs, and sanitation programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits (FDA, USDA, State agencies, customer audits, and GFSI) and ensure 100% compliance with all federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and manage a team of QA Technicians and Supervisors, fostering a strong culture of quality and accountability.
- Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Oversee investigations into quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues, implementing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- SOP Development: Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical control points and all production processes.
- Supplier Quality: Manage the approved supplier program, ensuring all incoming ingredients and packaging materials meet stringent quality specifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and lead projects to drive down quality costs and enhance overall operational excellence.
