Responsibilities
- Accurately set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning and milling centers to produce components according to engineering specifications.
- Competently set up and run manual (conventional) lathe and mill machines for varied and non-CNC machining requirements.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using industry-standard Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software to ensure efficient toolpaths and part integrity.
- Demonstrate proficiency with common industrial CNC control platforms.
- Machine diverse materials, including various ferrous alloys and raw cast materials, by selecting correct speeds, feeds, and specialized tooling for optimal results.
- Utilize a range of precision inspection tools, including coordinate measuring equipment and hand gauges, to guarantee adherence to strict tolerance standards on all finished parts.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance, essential tool management, and quick-response troubleshooting on all machining assets to maximize uptime.
