Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Assist the driver in physically loading and unloading the delivery vehicle with packages, materials, or products at the distribution center and at customer locations.
- Package Handling: Safely and efficiently sort, stack, and move packages/items within the vehicle, ensuring stability and organization for the route.
- Delivery Assistance: Navigate with the driver, confirm addresses, and assist in carrying packages from the vehicle to the customer's location (including residences, businesses, etc.).
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries and pickups, confirming delivery details and obtaining necessary signatures or confirmations.
- Route Support: Assist the driver with route planning, logistics, and any necessary paperwork (e.g., manifests, invoices, delivery logs).
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols, traffic laws, and operational procedures. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
- Vehicle Maintenance (Minor): Assist in keeping the delivery vehicle clean and organized; report any mechanical issues to the driver or supervisor.
- Product Returns: Assist in accurately scanning and loading return items or products back onto the vehicle.
